Back from the Dead.

I am back. My exile is over. I have completed my studying for my Seibel test, and have done as much as I can to smoosh 5 days of work into 3 days at my job so that I could essentially take Monday off for the test, and take Friday off to visit with my parents. So the house is clean. Immaculately clean even, with everything in its place. We don’t even have any closets full to the brim with all the stuff we didn’t clean, that if you were to open the door would cause an avalanche of stuff to fall down upon you. Nope, our house was ready for the full inspection.

Oh, and did I mention that I passed my Seibel Certification exam? Siebel, for those whose lives don’t revolve around the successful management of customer relationship software and processes, is a big giganto company that sells really complex software to manage a companies customers, sales, service requests, and anything else that a company would want to track or manage about there customers.

Of course, only people who are officially Seibel Certified are really able or “supposed to” work on the Seibel software. So my company sent all of us to Seibel training ($15,000), and gave us vouchers for the certification ($700). So we all went, and took the class, and figured out how to use Seibel. And then we all got busy implementing the application at our company, and nobody took the test..

And then time went by, and our project got postponed as there had to be some significant back-end work done before we could implement Siebel, and so we all got reassigned to different projects, and the certification just got forgotten about.

Until three of us decided to take it, and take advantage of the money already spent and waiting for us to use. So we had to study and study and study for the test (it had now been 6 months since we took the class and we had forgotten everything).

Long storey short, I studied my booty off for 2 weeks, and finally took the test on Monday, and passed. Of the other two people taking it, one failed, and one had to postpone her test date.

So at the moment I am the only one of our class of 16 that got certified.

And now I am back!
