Wow! Lotso news since last time. Our house finally sold (at least someone made an offer and we accepted), and Grumblecake had her birthday.
My job had a promotion where employees could get highly discounted airline ticket on Independence Air, the new airline that just started up. So without telling my wife, I booked two tickets to New York, for her birthday.
Now, those who know me have no doubt experienced my “difficulties” with misplacing small items – ok, and medium and large items. So it was no problem at all convincing GC that I had left my driver’s license on the airplane from our last trip last weekend. So on Friday I made her drive me to the airport to get me pick it up. Then, when the airline mysteriously didn’t have the license and GC was just about on the verge of being perturbed and annoyed, I told her the plan and we whisked away to NYC.
So we had a great weeken and saw RENT and saw Central Park (which is really big) and took the subway (clean but run down), and saw many interesting things.
Yeay!
