ECKLEBURG 2003-11-27 - 8:31 p.m. Thanksgiving -- We showed up 30 minutes late, brother showed up 2.5 hours late. Parents, anticipating the lateness of their sons, secretly tell us to come 1 hour early in a sort of compromise. Thanksgiving ritual includes many things, but always includes reading the paper for the ads for super deals for people who wake up at 4:30 am and stand outside a cold store till it opens. Yes, I am that cheap -- if the deal had something I wanted for just the right price I would be out there in the cold. Fortunately this year all the deals were crap -- thereby exempting us from much coldness and milling about in the dark. After our nice thanksgiving dinner, we are back at home and getting ready for our big garage sale. Biggest concernis that we have no idea how much to price things at. If it was up to me, everything would be $3.50 (10 Rand if we were in South Africa). Unfortunately, my wife (MW from now on)says that this might not quite work . . . Off to go randomly assign prices to things . . . Adios!
